Why has my YouTube channel made so little money?

My youtube channel has only made less than $1 with more than 15 videos, almost 15,000 minutes of view time, more than 12,000 views, more than 40 subscribers after more than a month? They are fully monetized and i’m looking at my lifetime revenue stats.

Idk if that is normal or not but Google Adsense is really bad. You shouldn’t be expecting to get much from it. Content creators never receive the amount that they deserve so they have to rely on other things to give them the income they need to support themselves and their content: merchandise, contracts, sponsorships, Radeon…

You need to think beyond Adsense and think outside the box. 40 subscribers is not all that much. You want your audience to be engaged. If you want to start making money, I suggest registering with a CPA network (like http://clickbank.com) and inserting a link in your Youtube video description. Once the viewer clicks this link and completes the action you will be paid a certain amount of money. You can really scale this by uploading a lot of videos in a specific niche and promoting affiliate products within that niche. Review channels are very good for this.

For that amount of views, 12,000, the amount of revenue is more or less in line with expectations. Maybe it should be 2 or 3 dollars but you would not expect to get rich from it. 12,000 may sound a lot but is quite miniscule. For a month it averages to only 400 per day. When YouTube started people were willing to click on and watch ads for the novelty. Now ads are often blocked so they are never seen in the first place and people rarely click or view an ad on videos they watch.

I believe that youtube still runs on a view-based system, where you get a small amount of cash for every view you get.
