Well, there are multiple ways of going about doing this. I will share what I did.

So there I am. A 14 year old kid who can't help but think about the car he will be getting in two years. My parents didn't want to spend too much over $10,000 on my first car, but I wanted one that costed around $30,000, so I was quite down in the dumps.

I tried desperately to find ways of making that extra $20,000 online - I tried filling out surveys, joining websites that promised a big payout, and nothing worked. I was stumped.

Then, one day, out of the blue, I met a kid online who was making $1500 a month by doing something called dropshipping. I was amazed. I couldn't fathom the possibility of making so much money without doing hours of work. Suddenly my dream car seemed a lot closer and in reach.

I talked to this kid for hours that night - he was very helpful and thoughtful and I really thank him for bringing me to what I am today. Within my first month of dropshipping on eBay, I made $800 in profits. I was enthralled. This was a miracle for me at the time.

I spent every second of my free time listing things and managing sales, at school, at home, even while traveling. I never stopped. I was addicted. Sales increased exponentially. Things just would not stop selling. The next month I made over$2000profit. Then the next I made $5000. And the next $10,000. And the next $25,000. You can guess where this is going.

Fast forward three years and I am driving my dream car and managing four businesses. All from just one kid who cared to talk with me that one night. Dropshipping set me on a path of self fulfillment from an early age, and I couldn't be happier for it. Now, I don't do dropshipping anymore for my retail business. Instead I purchase my own stock, but it is undoubtedly a great way to start.

So, what is dropshipping?

Well, dropshipping involves:

1. Finding a reliable supplier who is willing to send out products in your name and not their company's name (blind dropshipping)
2. Listing every last one of the products from their site into yours. Markup the prices at least 15%. The more products, the higher chances you have of selling in high volumes. This part is tedious. Remember, you have spent $0 so far, you have not bought anything yet.
3. When an order comes in and your customer has paid you, you then buy the product your customer ordered from your supplier and enter their address so it can be sent to your customer. You only buy the products after they have sold in your store.There is no investment or risk.
4. Enjoy your profits!

Let's say that you have decided to focus Cyber Security, this is now your "vertical market.

Go on to a Jobboard aggregator like indeed.com, and research what companies are looking for Cyber Security expertise and find the most senior job you can find in this particular niche. Let's say for instance that you see that Exxon are advertising for a Global Director for Cyber/Information Security for a salary of $150,000 in Houston.

This is now your "first" search assignment. Using your LinkedIn recruiter account, make a search for every relevant Cyber Security Director based within a 100km vicinity of the job you have seen. Not every potential candidate will have written their LinkedIn account in the same way - so make sure you use derivatives in the Boolean search.

For instance:

(Director OR VP OR SVP) AND (Security OR compliance) AND (global OR head)

This will bring up a list of relevant potential candidates. You can send these candidates an inmail using the LinkedIn account, asking them if/when they are interested to discuss an opportunity.

On average you can expect to get a response rate of approximately 20% from your inmail. So 100 messages sent, leads to 20 candidates that are open for a conversation.

Speak to the candidates, ask about their current situation, what is happening at their current employer and for what kind of opportunities they would consider changing jobs for. Once this has been established you can then sell the job, that you had spotted on the online Jobboard and see if they are interested in it.

If they are, that's perfect. You do a more in depth interview and ask them for references that can verify the information on their CV.

You take the references from the previous employers, check that the candidate is actually any good and whilst you do that you can also ask them if they are currently having challenges recruiting good people - this will lead to more opportunities that you can work on, and will enable you to build a network of clients that are interested in Cyber Security expertise.

Once you have some suitable candidates, go back onto LinkedIn and search for the relevant hiring manager within Exxon.

For example put this into the advanced search:

Job title: (information security OR cyber security)

Location: Houston

Call the switchboard and ask to be put through to the people on the list. Find out who the MAN is (money, authority, need). Contact them and sell your candidates to them.

If it works, then you're in business and can expect to charge a bare minimum of 15% of the annual salary - €22500 - but you can charge upwards of 30%.

Now the beauty of doing it this way, is that every candidate you have contacted, is actually a senior professional who will also have hiring responsibility. Cyber Security is in demand, so as you're interviewing your candidates you can also check to see what possibilities you have to support their current vacancies.

If you speak to 20 senior candidates, you could realistically expect that 20% of them have vacancies that they are struggling to fill.

As a "specialist" headhunter in this space, you can offer your services on a retained basis, where they pay a part of the recruitment fee upfront, let's say $5000 from a potential cut price fee of $15000 and the rest is payable once a candidate has been hired.

Do this process every day - pick a job per day, find the candidates, establish if the candidates are interested or if they have vacancies themselves and then sell the candidates to the job. If clients have other vacancies then sell a retainer and see if they're interested.

Even as a rookie, with no headhunting experience, by working systematically, speaking to 20 candidate/managers per day - you will pick up vacancies that you're able to fill and if you can sell them on a retainer basis then the money is in the bank immediately.

There are 22 working days in a month, so that 440 candidate/managers spoken to, 22 jobs that you've seen advertised and then offered candidates for and probably a whole lot more that you picked up along the way.

You should be looking at a minimum of 2 deals in the bank for around $40,000 of fees for you and with a strong network of 500+ candidates/clients that you can work with in subsequent months.

Hard work initially but easy once you get going.

Of course, this is just one idea and there are millions of these - I could go through examples like this everyday and it is how we went from 6-figures to 7-figures. You can do it too.

Now, get to writing and making that dough! Remember, provide tons of value up front and don't be afraid to charge for high-touch service and products.

If I were you, I would focus on building your skill-set.  I am assuming you are starting off in your career so for you experience and building your talent is key right now. You need to pay the bills but the bigger thing is the experience for you. If you do want to get more responsibility, you can take the initiative and work on a project that will help your team. Maybe it would be documenting your results in terms of cold calling for the field agents. Maybe you could track the person's name,  time you called, the overall response, and you can jot down some take aways if any.

After all, your boss has been in the corporate rat race for so long the only thing they can think of political strategy and under handed moves. Don’t kid yourself, your boss will fire you in the blink of an eye, while taking credit for all the good work you’ve done, and the icing on the cake is when your boss tell you that they taught you everything you know. Consider yourself warned.
3. HR/EEOC doesn’t give a sh$# about you. Oh Mr. HR person, I’m a minority and my boss is racist, can you help me!?! Let me be clear and frank - a claim like this, valid or not, is a surefire way to see the corruption inherent in any company. How? Well think about it - a multi-million claim merits a multi-million dollar game, and bet your ass your company will play it. Another way of putting it is like this - you never hear about all the ATM’s that are stolen every week and all the money taken from them do you? No. In like manner, you rarely hear of the multi-million dollar settlements from cases like the one described above. Do not be so foolish to think that your company will actually play by the rules. If there is a chance of a multi-million dollar suit you can expect all kinds of crazy things mainly (1) lying, (2) stealing, (3) cheating, and (4) killing. But you say a corporation wouldn’t kill anyone. To that I respond, oh really?
4. Your “beloved” co-workers probably don’t give a sh$# about you. Gossip, sneering, chit chatter, passive aggressiveness, lying, and under handed moves. Sound familiar? Of course it does, this is almost every corporate work environment. There are exceptions to the general rule, but we are talking in broad strokes here.
5. You’re not in control of your future if you work for a company. This is self evident. You don’t control your future if you work for a company. If you did, then you could do what you want, when you want, how you want, and not have anything limiting your income or vacation time! Or even what clothes you wear and how you talk. But alas, you don’t have control over these things, your company does.
6. Your income is limited/has a ceiling on it. Hello Mr. Joe Blow, congratulations on getting the job. You’re going to be making a whopping $80,000 per year, while being our b&$ch. Yes you heard right, if you step out of line and use your brain, we will fire you. If you ever say your true opinion about anything, we will fire you. If your boss wants to throw your ass under the bus in front of 50 people, that’s ok. In fact, why don’t you get on your knees and kneel when your boss does that? If you come in here wanting to talk about “career development” or whatever the hell you guys call it these days, we will concede and let you into our leadership programs, so you can train other people to be obedient, house broken dogs. If you do a good job, then we may give you a $5,000 year end raise. **Which if you think about inflation, rising rental prices, etc. $5,000 aint jack sh$#!
7. If you work for a company you can’t truly say what you think or give your true opinion. Chances are ‘you’ll offend someone”. Of course you will, everyone today is offended by damn near everything.
8. Haha career development? Sure go ahead and take some virtual lessons on how to correctly fill out an expense report or work your new accounting program.

I could go on and on, but let’s keep this as short as possible. The above is stupid but true. And hopefully you get the point - it’s stupid to have dreams of having a big house, fast cars, exotic vacations, if you work for a company. It won’t happen. Even if you don’t have these dreams, living out the best years of your life like this doesn’t make much sense.

I once was a corporate legal dummy working 110 hours per week. Yes, that’s right 110. Family life? Hell no. Stress. Yes. Depression. Yes. Did all of the above happen to me. Yes.

I quit. But before I quit, I had started three companies. People all over the internet told me how I was an idiot for trying this method. I didn’t listen to them. One thing I’ve learned is that most people on the internet talk in vague terms which to me means they haven’t really done what they’re advocating. They’re just squawking and quacking hoping that someone is dumb enough to think they know what’s true.

So here’s whats true. You can start a company(s) while you have a corporate job. It’s easy. Once your earning from your side company equal what you’re earning at your company (or even a little less) freaking quit and never go back. Here’s a step-by-step how to do it:

1. Decide what kind of company you want to start.
1. Service company (food delivery, drone inspections, maid service, landscape, etc). These are cheap and easy to start and are usually profitable in month two or three. Drone inspections are profitable from day one!

1. Food delivery - First hand experience. In population of 200,000 brings in about $20,000 per week. Simple SAAS solutions allow you to start this for less than $500.00. To be clear it amounts to this: you pay a couple hundred bucks and get an SAAS solution that potentially will net out over $20,000 per week. Hmmm, I wander if that’s worth testing? Of course it is.

1. Drone inspections - $10,000-$20,000 for two days of work. Here you want to target (1) oil companies, (2) energy companies, (3) wind farms, and (4) new construction projects. To be clear, you can earn over $30,000 per week doing this. Also, if you’re still unsure look at it this way: one job with the drone will pay for the freaking cost of the drone.

I have yet to really meet a person in finance struggling and after getting more exposure to the field in Business School, its the closest to guaranteed wealth.
    
    Even when looking at the valley, VC's make huge gains from the success of companies and entrepreneurs as they spread their risk and take money to turn it into more money. Company failures can crush a founder, but usually are a small dent in any investor's portfolio.
    
    The financial crashes of history are going to quickly be pointed to as a counterpoint, but those usually impacted non-finance folks just as badly as those in it. And it seems that finance recovers much quickly and is more resilient than any other. I didn't see any bailouts for Tech companies in the 2000's once the bubble popped. And the stock market crash threw everyone into depression. And those working in money usually understand best how to shield themselves and recover from a bad turn.
    
    So ... while coding, building a company, and selling things are all ways to make money, they are very high risk high reward and we idolize the outliers more than the median. When it comes to simply "making money" ... the business of money is your best bet.

• My Experience: I started working at Leapforce in early December 2015, and I just received my first payment. I am very satisfied with the company and I am happy with the environment and the professionalism.
  At Leapforce, there are different kinds of positions and the most popular among it is the position of Search Engine Evaluator. You will basically be helping Search Engines to improve the way they show the results for a query by a user, according to the relevance and importance.
  You can qualify for more projects if you are good at what you do. When you start, you will only be able to work for an hour. The limited time will increase and it can go up to unlimited, and it all depends on the reviews you get and some tasks you complete. I am doing 2 projects now.
  Whenever I send emails to them, I get immediate response. They have a very good team behind this company. There is also a social network within the company where you can follow people and chat with them. This is very useful to learn about the job and there are some wonderful people there who have years of experience working at Leapforce.
  Pay: Leapforce functions in countries like US, UK, Canada, France, Spain, Germany, Russia, India, Indonesia, Egypt, South Korea .etc
  In the United States, they pay $13 per hour, and in India they pay $7. For the people in India, there is also an option to select the language they prefer (English/Hindi).
  The money is wire transferred directly to your bank account. You need to submit the invoice on the 1st of each month, and the amount will be credited within 30 days.
  Qualification procedure: For the position of Search Engine Evaluator, you will be required to take a 3 part exam. They will provide the study materials in PDF format. The first part is directly asked from the PDF, and you can check the material during the exam. The 2nd and 3rd parts of the exams are practical.
  You have 7 days to complete all 3 exams. You will have to pass each exam to be eligible to take the next one. In my case, I failed in the 3rd exam in the first attempt, and luckily they allowed me to re-take the test. I was able to make it through the second time, and I learned a lot within the last month. Please don’t forget to add comments during the 2nd and 3rd parts of the exam when there is an option to add them. (I forgot it during my first round of exam)
  If you get the mail from them to take the exams, you will be able to start working within 10 days, provided that you pass the exams.
  How to Apply: You need to select your country and language and proceed with the application. You will be asked to upload scanned copy/photo of id/address proof. Application procedure is fairly simple, but please note that it may take around 2 weeks to get a reply from them. In my case, I got their reply within 3 days, but I know people who got it after a month. It is worth the wait.
  Leapforce is a completely genuine company and it is an excellent way to make money online. There are people who work full time on Leapforce. I am from India, and $7 per hour really helps me. I could qualify for multiple projects which means that I can do work for more hours a day. Imagine how much you can make if you become eligible to work for unlimited hours! You can earn well more than 20k INR in a month working 1-2 hours a day.
