Vitex agnus castus  = Chasteberry

[Remarks are for your understanding only and should not be included in the script]

1.       Board starts with a pink frame and the title Chasteberry = Vitex agnus castusand the picture of the Vitex plant [Similar to what is shown above. It's an example. If you want to make it more pretty – that's always welcome]

2.       On left hand upper corner appears "Medium" in gray [stands for activity strength of the plant. The colors are consistent with other learning materials so it is important to keep them as is.]

3.       In the middle of the board appears a big v sign 

4.       Above the v appear the image of biblical Abraham [this is to help remember the name of the plant also called "Abraham's plant". Example to guide the choice of such a cartoon: Just the head is also fine. Abraham's picture should be relatively small as the main player here is Sarah as Vitex is mostly used for women's health issues]

5.       In the head of Abraham appears a red circle (big enough to host the brain drawing later) and the word "Fruit" [This is to indicated the fruit of the Vitext is part in medicinal use]

6.       In the head of Abraham, in the red circle from the previous step, appears a brain with a brain showing the hypothalamus & the pituitary gland

and the word "hypothalamus" and "pituitary gland"

7.       On the upper part of the "v" sign appears the word "LH" and something showing increased amount of it [could be a meter / a lab tube being filled up etc. The idea is that Vitex affect the hypothalamus and pituitary gland causing increase in the hormone LH and decrease in the hormone FSH].

8.       On the lower part of the "v" sign appears the word "FSH" and something showing decreased amount of it

9.       On the upper part of the "v" show a small fire icon in warm colors and write "heating" in black

10.   One the lower part of the "v" show a small snow flake icon in cold colors and write "cooling"in black

11.   On the upper part of the "v" show a red pepper icon write "picante" in black

12.   On the lower part of the "v" show a bitter icon such as write "bitter" in black

13.   Below the "V" sign appears Sarah [Abraham's wife according to the biblical story. This picture is just a suggestion. Choose whatever seems fit. Sarah's figure should be the bigger than Abraham's as Vitex is used for women mostly and most of the activities would be shown for Sarah. The image may have mostly outlines to enable to show inside parts. If you draw her it may be best to have the vaginal & abdominal parts disproportionally large to be able to show the related activities. If you use a premade figure it's possible to draw the uterus, ovaries & vaginal parts next to her. If possible to change facial expression please start with sad then change to happy where indicated in the script. If not – please choose a happy expression. If you draw it please make her pregnant.]

14.   Inside / next to Sarah is show the ovaries and in them a yellow circle [indicating the Corpus Luteum also called the yellow body].

15.   Lines are coming out of the yellow circle showing Progesterone. Can be visualized as "" and the word "Progesterone" write "Caution: May increase Progesterone based drugs or decrease contraceptive pills" in black

16.   Show Sarah breastfeeding or indicate her breasts in some way along with the word "Emmenagogue" in red [promoting mother's milk]

17.   Show a big empty drop in the vaginal area and write "amenorrhea" in red, fill up the drop in red [to indicate blood] and write "fertility issues" in orange. Then add a walking stick write "menopause" in red [to indicate old age. If not possible any other old age mark would work as well] and empty it in part than fill it up again in different amount and after a wait time and write "menstruation irregularity" in red. Show some cramping or movement in the abdominal area [or a drop of blood against the abdomen or whatever other creative way you can think of and is easy to draw and materialize in the video] and write "PMS"in red [=post menstrual syndrome] and "ovulation pain" in orange. Write

18.   Show the ovaries and some black in Sarah's figure [or next to her] and write "polycystic ovarian syndrome" in red. [Could be represented as a few brown circles in the same shape as the yellow body used before. Here is a figure to show how it is usually indicated graphically:

19.   Show Sarah's uteruswith a blob in it and write"myoma"in red [it's a fibrotic tissue in the uterus. Here is an idea of how to represent it graphically:

20.   Show the same blob outside of the uterus [next to the uterus] and write" Endometriosis" in orange  [ tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus — the endometrium — grows outside your uterus

21.   Show the uterus and some bleeding from it and write "uterus bleedings" in orange

22.   Show circular movement in the uterus and write "Moves uterus chi" in purple

23.   Color the uterus [or part of it or the edges of it] in blue and write "Uterus chi weakness" in purple. Write "movement generator" in green.

24.   Show drops in the vaginal area and fill it up in whitish-yellowish color and write "vaginal discharge" and ""vaginal dryness" both in orange

25.   Sarah's expression should change from sad to happy and write "depression" in orange [if not possible to change the expression just emphasis the happy expression in some way as you see fit]

26.   Show Sarah's skin with zits and write "Acne" in red

27.   Abraham's stomach shows some upsetting signs [perhaps it bounces, perhaps emphasized in color] and write "dyspepsia" in red and "digestion weakness" in orange. Write "antispasmodic" in green. Write "Moves liver & colon chi"

28.   On the middle of the "V" sign show a heart with a bow and write "Reduce exaggerated sexual drive in men" in orange on Abraham's side and "Increase diminished sexual drive in women" in red on Sarah's side

29.   Show and enlargement in  Sarah's neck and write "Vitexin, a flavonoid, inhibits thyroid peroxide, causing Goiter"

30.   Show Sarah pregnant or just draw a baby/belly next to her and write "Not during pregnancy except first trimester to prevent abortion due to low progesterone" in black

31.   Write "Active diterpenes: rotundifuran induces apoptosis,  vitexilactone is an anti-inflammatory" in black.

[It is important in the last board you can see all of the writings together. The different medicinal activities should be added but not erased. If you change views during the video come back to the one main board to show all the activities together as the students need this as a printed version as well to memorize and we want it consistent with the video. If the time is more than 1 min some of the writings can appear without being written by a hand slowly. There are many plants to study and a student should be able to go through it in about 1 hour worth of videos, so we want to keep it short].
