Albert Sabin

Albert Sabin.
I think its Albert Sabin. The man who discovered "oral polio vaccine".

Though , I agree Dr. Jonas Salk did an amazing discovery of the injectable polio vaccine and started a battle against the deadly polio virus, but polio eradication could not have been possible if it hadnt been for Dr. Albert Sabin as he invented the oral polio vaccine.
The "herd immunity"( a community's immunity to a disease) which helped eradicate the disease was possible only after oral polio vaccine. Also, it was more cost effective, easy to administer and prevented disease transmission.
Today , the world is almost free of polio because of him.
Zhuang Yan (1898-1980), one of participants accompanying the Odyssey of National Treasures of Palace Museum.
Zhuang Yan, in his younger days.
In the upper half of 20th century, China went through a plethora of turbulent events. There was a civil war fighting on this land, which also witnessed a war with Imperial Japan. Amid such a gigantic chaos, folks tried all their means at their disposals to escape the ever raging fire of wars, and eke out a living in the newly-settled places. Besides the displacement of hundreds of million of people, there was an arduous journey, experienced by national treasures and personnel of Palace Museum.
This map shows three different routes to relocate the cultural treasures, from the cosmopolitan eastern cities, via central China, to the mountainous southwestern part of the country. In the Sino-Japanese War, Zhuang Yan and his team trod on the green colored road.
After reading this mishmash of words and pictures, you might wonder, what kind of treasures worth being escorted by conscientious people, such as Zhuang Yan, who overcame insurmountable hurdles, protecting them from the onslaught of sanguinary warfare, whether it's an international version or a fraternal one.
Fortunately, this uploaded poster of Chinese cultural gem exhibition, organized by Tokyo National Museum in 2014, might provide you a glimpse of treasured masterpieces, spanning millennia, selected from National Palace Museum. Take, for instance, San Shi Pan, crafted during Western Zhou period (1046–771 BC), The Cold Food Observance by Song Dynasty polymath Su Shi (1037 – 1101), and the singular Jadeite Cabbage, carved by an artisan from Qing dynasty (1644-1911).
